The committee of the Marina Allotments and Horticultural Association would like to invite members to submit proposals for our “Art on the Allotment” award. The committee intends to make a small grant available each year to support the creation of a piece of art which enhances the experience of being on the allotment and responds to the nature of the place in terms of its ecology and community.

Brief and Rules

Proposals can be submitted in any format and should be submitted within the proposal timeframe via email to committee@marinaallotments.org.uk.

The deadline for proposals is 30th October.

The maximum award is £500. Proposals should include a budget breakdown.

Art works can be temporary or semi-permanent. The can be material or experiential. They should consider how and when allotment members can access and experience the work.

The committee will aim to select a recipient by the end of November. We then expect the work to be completed and installed within the first 5 months of 2025.

The committee may require modifications to the proposal or specific conditions to be met.
